Last Sunday after 3 months training I finally set off with my partner in crime to take on the challenge of Toughmudder 2018. Something I wanted to achieve in the last two years for various reasons but most of all to raise funds for Mind Charity. It was a really challenging day, and took 5 hours to complete, and I suffered with runners knee and IT band – Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS or IT band syndrome) is an overuse injury of the connective tissues that are located on the lateral or outer part of thigh and knee. It causes pain and tenderness in those areas, especially just above the knee joint. My amazing friend helped me by piggy back at the 8 mile mark as I really could barely walk at this point!
